OVERVIEW

Jamie Perez is a former TV News reporter and now works as a freelance videographer + storyteller based in Madison, WI.  She was born and raised in California and graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She landed her first on-air job at the ABC affiliate in Sioux City, Iowa where she worked for two years, then spent three and a half years as a reporter for the CBS affiliate station in Madison, WI. Jamie left TV news but didn't leave the camera behind.

She started her own business, Beyond Words Productions, as a way to continue her passion for telling stories and capturing moments on camera. She is an expert at finding the heart of any story and crafting it in a way to make people care about a person, cause, event, or mission.

Jamie's ability to put together a good, memorable story is a skill engrained deep in her heart. A skill you can't really teach, but one you must feel. She has a unique ability to connect to people by striking an emotional chord and opening people's eyes to feel emotions they may not have otherwise felt and in turn, creates a more empathetic and compassionate world.

Jamie's videography skills can be used for a variety of purposes, but when it comes to creating video job descriptions, she makes people care about your business, the mission behind it and the people who work there. By being able to film the people behind the company and break down the corporate barriers, she makes it easy for applicants to want to work for you. If pictures say a thousand words, her videos will leave you Beyond Words."
